Program Preview

When Your Success Depends on PDF

I know many of you are making plans to attend the PDF Conference Sept. 26 and 27 at the Hilton Crystal City . The program will be published in two weeks, but I thought you might like an advance look at some highlights.

Case Studies

There has been a very nice response from past attendees who are going to present case studies on how their organizations are benefiting from PDF solutions. Case studies presented by the corporate and government employees who actually participated in implementing the solutions include:

  • How one government agency moved to a 100 percent electronic prepress workflow.
  • How one company wrote an Acrobat plug-in to create an internal company document management system.
  • An update on an enterprise-wide installation of Acrobat.
  • How a federal agency re-engineered its document workflow.
  • How IRS saved time and improved turnaround of a CD collection of 10 years worth of PDF forms and documents.
  • And others as well.

By the way, case studies are the most-often requested addition to our program. I am very pleased to have such a great lineup for September.

In addition to case studies, here are some other sessions:

  • Author Ted Padova will return to PDF Conference with presentations on getting the most out of Adobe Reader and a second session on advanced Acrobat techniques.

  • How to prep for the new Adobe ACE exams for Acrobat.
  • More on using Word and Acrobat together.
  • We will also have an update on the proposed Adobe/Macromedia merger, PDF output options from Creative Suite 2 and the always-popular Power Panel of experts available to answer your questions.
  • The 10th PDF Conference is shaping up to be our biggest and best yet. I look forward to seeing you there. You can register today at http://www.pdfconference.com/
